Skydio's PM loop runs about 3 to 5 weeks: a recruiter screen, a hiring manager call, a product or case round, and a multi-interview onsite panel that usually centers on a 30-minute presentation. The thing that defines it: every round pushes on whether you can manage a product that fuses hardware, autonomy software, and AI, so deep technical fluency in drones and wireless plus a real go-to-market view both get tested, not just classic product sense.

The interview process

1. Recruiter screen (30 to 45 min). A phone call on overall fit, your product leadership track record, and genuine interest in drones, autonomy, AI, or wireless. The recruiter also reads your communication and whether you thrive in a fast, cross-functional setting.
2. Hiring manager call. A product or engineering leader digs into the hardware and software products you have owned end to end, your roadmap ownership, and your technical depth. They are checking that your experience maps to Skydio's autonomous-systems domain.
3. Product / case round. Run by a current PM, engineering lead, or cross-functional partner. Scenario or case questions tied to Skydio's market: defining metrics for a video or flight feature, evaluating a wireless approach, or designing a workflow for remote drone operations. They want structured problem solving plus customer-centric judgment.
4. Take-home or strategy exercise (sometimes). Not every candidate gets one. When it appears it is a real product challenge in Skydio's space, for example a planning-and-control problem, a go-to-market plan, or prioritizing a roadmap, presented back as a concise structured pitch.
5. Onsite panel (multiple interviews, can run 8+ hours).
