The interview process

1. Recruiter screen (30 min). Your motivations and a real answer to 'Why Roblox?'
2. Gamified online assessment. Taken inside the Roblox app, so you create a Roblox account first. Strategy mini-games like factory-line optimization and profit-maximization simulations test creativity, operational thinking, and judgment under uncertainty instead of LeetCode-style coding.
3. Hiring manager conversation (45 min). Product strategy and the past impact you have owned.
4. Product-sense interviews (two 45-min rounds). Product judgment for a platform whose audience skews under 18. Answers are expected to weigh COPPA, age-appropriate design, and moderation trade-offs, not just growth.
5. Leadership and collaboration round. Behavioral questions mapped to Roblox's four values: Respect the Community, We Are Responsible, Take the Long View, and Get Stuff Done. One candidate was rejected for not pushing back on engineering, so cross-functional influence is graded here too.
6. What they're really testing. Safety-first product judgment, long-term platform thinking over short-term growth hacks, and a real grasp of the three-sided ecosystem of players, creators, and the Robux economy. Demonstrated passion for the platform itself is a recurring positive signal.
