Recorded Future PM interview guide

Recorded Future runs a roughly 2 to 4 week, five-stage loop: resume review, a 30-minute recruiter screen, a hiring-manager round, a mock Recorded Future Platform walkthrough you prepare from supplied materials, then a director or panel round, plus reference checks before an offer. The round that defines the loop is that platform mock-demo: you learn their threat-intelligence product on the spot and present how it works, so the real test is whether you can absorb a complex security product fast and explain it clearly to stakeholders.

The interview process

1. Resume review. A recruiter screens your background against the role before any call. For PM roles they look for a real track record in enterprise/SaaS product plus genuine interest in cybersecurity, AI, and threat intelligence.
2. Recruiter phone screen (about 30 minutes). A recruiter checks basic fit, your recent experience, and what is driving your move, and gauges how much you actually researched the company. The recruiting manager has said he opens by asking what you know about Recorded Future and recommends STAR-format answers.
3. Hiring manager / direct manager round. A conversation with the manager you would report to about the role and your past work. Behavioral focus: your management style, how you handle challenges, and your approach to collaboration and communication.
4. Mock Recorded Future Platform walkthrough (role-play / product demo). The signature round: you are given materials on the platform and time to learn it, then prepare and deliver a presentation or live demo of how it works. They are watching how fast you absorb the product and how clearly you present it to a customer or team.
5. Director / panel round. A one-on-one with a Director or a panel of people you would work with, going deeper on strategic thinking, product vision, and how you would drive customer adoption and satisfaction.
6. Reference checks, then offer. References are gathered before a verbal offer and formal letter. Glassdoor data puts the full loop at roughly a month on average across all roles; PM candidates report about 2 to 3 weeks.
7. What they're really testing. Three signals: (1) can you learn a dense threat-intelligence product quickly and explain it cleanly to stakeholders (the mock walkthrough); (2) genuine domain fluency and interest in cybersecurity plus AI; (3) collaboration and clear written/verbal communication, which the company calls a key factor for success.
