Moloco PM interview guide

Moloco PM interviews run 4 to 6 stages over roughly 25 to 90 days (Senior PM roles average 90 days). The one defining thread is deep ad tech and ML fluency: every round tests whether you can connect product thinking to Moloco's programmatic, first-party-data advertising engine.

The interview process

1. Recruiter screen (30 min). Phone call covering your background, experience, and motivation for the role. The recruiter checks culture fit and your basic understanding of Moloco's ML-driven ad tech products.
2. Hiring manager interview (45 to 60 min). One-on-one focused on product roadmap experience, cross-functional collaboration, and how you have defined customer value propositions. Expect to walk through past PM projects in detail.
3. Cross-functional panel (multiple 45 to 60 min calls). Back-to-back calls with engineers, product team members, and business stakeholders. Each interviewer probes a different axis: analytical skills, data synthesis, operational problem-solving, and stakeholder communication.
4. Senior leader or CPO interview (45 to 60 min). Conversation with a VP or Chief Product Officer on your vision for product development, your read on the ad tech market, and how you would represent Moloco's strategy externally.
5. What they're really testing. Three signals dominate: (1) ad tech and ML domain depth, specifically whether you understand programmatic bidding, ROAS, and first-party data; (2) data-driven product decision-making, meaning the ability to synthesize large datasets into roadmap choices; and (3) cross-functional influence, because Moloco PMs must align engineering, measurement, and partnership teams simultaneously.
