Legora PM interview guide

Legora runs a 5-stage loop that takes about 30 days: application, a People Team (recruiter) call, a hiring manager interview, a role-specific case plus a 60-minute presentation and team discussion, and a final interview with the CEO or department head. The thing that defines the loop is the founder-led culture filter: CEO Max Junestrand personally meets candidates and screens for "missionaries, not mercenaries," so mission commitment matters as much as the case work.

The interview process

1. People Team interview (30 min). An introductory recruiter call to get to know you, walk through the role, and cover logistics. They check basic fit, motivation, and why Legora specifically over other AI startups.
2. Hiring Manager interview. A deeper dive into your skills, experience, and how you approach problem-solving. For PM candidates this is competency-focused: how you frame problems, make trade-offs, and reason about product decisions.
3. Case and presentation (60 min). You get a role-relevant challenge to work through, then present it in a 60-minute session with team discussion. Reports describe cases built around real customer issues and take-home work on messy, real-world data, so they watch how you handle ambiguity and structure a recommendation under scrutiny.
4. Final interview (CEO or department head). A closing conversation with CEO Max Junestrand or the prospective department head to confirm mutual fit and alignment. This is the mission and culture filter, not a second case.
5. What they're really testing. Three signals carry the most weight: genuine mission commitment over money (the missionaries-not-mercenaries filter), structured thinking and clear trade-off reasoning shown in the case and presentation, and willingness to take on a hard job in a fast-moving, demanding legal-AI environment.
