The interview process

1. Recruiter / talent acquisition screen (30 min, sometimes two). A talent partner walks your background, motivation, and fit for the role and Jasper's values. Candidates report up to two of these calls before meeting the team, so treat them as a real signal gate, not a formality.
2. Hiring manager interview (45-60 min). Behavioral questions plus technical questions about your background and the types of projects the team works on. They probe how you have actually shipped product and whether your experience maps to their roadmap.
3. Design director / cross-functional round. A conversation with a design leader and cross-functional partners, reflecting how tightly product, design, and marketing-AND work together at Jasper. They look for how you collaborate, how you reason about user experience, and how opinionated you are about AI product decisions.
4. Portfolio / case presentation (cross-functional panel). You present a portfolio or case to a cross-functional group: walk a real project end to end, defend the decisions, and field follow-ups. This is the centerpiece of the loop and where most of the signal is gathered.
5. What they're really testing. Three things: (1) proof you have personally shipped and owned product end to end, told as concrete stories not abstractions; (2) product sense for opinionated, constrained AI tools built for a specific marketer persona (Jasper's stated view that open-ended AI causes paralysis); and (3) values fit, especially customer obsession, scrappiness, and full ownership in a fast-moving environment.
