IonQ PM interview guide

IonQ runs a virtual (Zoom), roughly 4-week loop of about 3 stages: a recruiter screen, a hiring-manager conversation, then a small team panel, mixing behavioral, situational, and strategy questions. The interview process

1. Recruiter screen (about 30 min). A standard phone or Zoom pre-screen with a recruiter covering your background, motivation for quantum computing, and logistics. No problem-solving here: it is a fit and calibration call, and IonQ tells candidates to test Zoom beforehand and prep a real reason they are excited about IonQ's technology.
2. Hiring manager conversation. A deeper discussion of past experience where you describe how you handled real situations rather than solving abstract puzzles. 3. Team panel (a few interviewers). You meet several people from the team across business, research, and engineering.
