ICE runs a fast loop, roughly three to four weeks and three or four rounds: a 30 minute recruiter screen, a hiring manager interview, often a take-home case study, and a multi-person panel. The thing that defines it: you need real fluency in ICE's domain (mortgage technology like the Encompass platform, or exchanges and derivatives), not just generic PM frameworks.

The interview process

1. Recruiter screen (about 30 min). A phone or video call covering the role, company, and your background. The recruiter checks that your product experience and domain interest line up with the specific ICE business unit (mortgage tech vs. exchanges/data).
2. Hiring manager / technical interview. A deeper conversation with the hiring manager or a technical team member on product management principles, the software development lifecycle, and Agile. Expect to walk through user stories, acceptance criteria, and how you turn customer needs into a roadmap.
3. Take-home case study (some PM loops). A real-world product problem given offline to analyze and present. ICE scores your structuring of market needs, user feedback, and proposed solution, plus how clearly you present it back.
4. Panel interview (around 4 hours of rounds). Several back-to-back sessions with team members, product stakeholders, UX, and sometimes senior leaders. They probe product vision and strategy, your read on market trends and customers, and behavioral fit, often using STAR-style follow-ups.
5. Final interview with senior leadership. A discussion with higher-level executives or the VP of Product on long-term product vision and how you would drive it in the market. More strategic and culture-focused than the earlier rounds.
6. What they're really testing. Three signals carry the most weight: domain fluency in ICE's space (mortgage technology or trading/derivatives), the ability to explain something technical clearly to a non-technical audience, and data-backed product judgment shown through concrete past results.
