HERE Technologies runs a multi-round PM loop that typically takes 3 to 5 weeks: a recruiter screen, then three video rounds with a hiring manager, a senior PM, and HR, plus an onsite or a take-home case study where you analyze a product and market and present it to your future team. The thing that defines the loop is the product-and-market case presentation: HERE wants to see you reason about its location, mapping, and GIS domain in front of the people you would work with.

The interview process

1. Recruiter screen (15 to 30 min). A recruiter reaches out, often via LinkedIn, for a phone or video screen on your background, motivation, and basic fit. Light on PM depth; it confirms you clear the bar to move forward.
2. Hiring manager interview (video, 30 to 60 min). A conversation with the hiring manager on your PM experience: roadmaps, stakeholder management, and customer engagement. They probe how you took ideas from paper to production and handled messy, non-straightforward projects.
3. Senior PM / technical interview (video, 30 to 60 min). A deeper round with a senior product manager covering product methodology, market analysis, and technical comfort. Expect questions on working with large amounts of data and HERE's mapping, GIS, and location-intelligence domain.
4. Case study: analyze a product and market, then present (take-home or onsite). You analyze a product and its market, build a short product strategy, and present it to your future team and manager. They watch structure, market reasoning, and how you defend choices under follow-up questions.
5. HR / final round. A behavioral and culture-fit round, sometimes alongside a director. Focus on conflict, ownership, attention to detail, and how you work across cross-functional teams.
6. What they're really testing. Three signals carry the most weight: structured product-and-market reasoning shown live in the case presentation; cross-functional stakeholder management and conflict resolution; and technical or data fluency in HERE's mapping, GIS, and location domain.
