Fetch Rewards PM interview guide

Fetch's PM loop runs about 10 days and starts with a written app-evaluation take-home before you ever talk to a person: you download the Fetch app and answer a questionnaire on what you would improve, then a second questionnaire, then a recruiter screen and hiring-manager rounds. The one thing that defines this loop is that everything centers on the Fetch app itself: your product sense is judged on concrete, specific ideas to improve their actual receipt-scanning rewards product.

The interview process

1. App-evaluation questionnaire (written take-home, asked to be under 2 hours). You download and use the Fetch app, then submit written answers on what you would improve and how. Recruiters weigh whether you actually used the product and came back with specific, prioritized improvements rather than generic feedback.
2. Second questionnaire. A follow-up written assessment after the first submission, before any live conversation. Several candidates report the prompts feel vague and note there is little chance to present or defend the work to a human at this stage.
3. Recruiter screen (around 30 min). A phone conversation covering your background, motivation for Fetch, and a walk-through of your questionnaire thinking. The recruiter checks role fit, communication, and that you can explain your product reasoning out loud.
4. Hiring manager interview. Deeper discussion of product thinking, execution, and how you handle ambiguity and competing priorities, often anchored back to the Fetch app and your earlier ideas. Some PM and leader-level loops include a design-style prompt (for example, redesign a common object) to test structured thinking.
5. Manager / team round. A later conversation with the hiring manager and team focused on collaboration, prioritization, and stakeholder situations. Expect behavioral questions about missed deliverables and managing multiple priorities at once.
6. What they're really testing. Three signals dominate: (1) hands-on product sense on the Fetch app specifically, shown through concrete, prioritized improvement ideas; (2) structured thinking under vague or open prompts; and (3) execution and collaboration under competing priorities, evidenced by clear, specific behavioral stories.
