The defining trait is that the panel is unusually senior and cross-functional (product, business development, marketing, plus two VPs), so you are sold to leadership as much as to a hiring manager.

The interview process

1. Recruiter / phone screen (30-45 min). A recruiter walks through your background, the role, and basic fit, and probes your qualifications and experience. They are checking that your audio/video or platform product background maps to the team before passing you on.
2. Hiring manager / technical screen. A deeper call on your product and technical experience, including problem-solving and how you debug or reason about audio/video products. For more technical PM roles this can include hands-on problem questions, not just resume talk.
3. Onsite panel (multiple back-to-back rounds). A mix of a technical round, a behavioral round, and a panel where you meet several team members. They test communication, problem-solving, and depth on real product and customer situations rather than abstract puzzles.
4. Senior leadership rounds (Product Strategy roles). For Product Strategy Manager and similar senior roles, candidates report meeting Directors of product, business development, and marketing plus two VPs. Expect strategy, market, and cross-functional positioning questions, and a slow decision: roughly two months, sometimes far longer.
5. What they're really testing. Three signals: (1) genuine depth in audio/video or media technology and the ability to use technical knowledge to solve real product problems; (2) cross-functional strategy judgment that holds up in front of Directors and VPs; (3) clear communication and customer focus, since you are evaluated by a senior, multi-team panel.
