The interview process

1. Recruiter screen (30 min). A phone or video call covering your background, motivation, and fit for an enterprise B2B data product. The recruiter checks for relevant data backup, data management, or data security PM experience before passing you to the hiring manager.
2. Hiring manager round (about 60 min). Mostly behavioral plus a deep dive on a past project: situation-based questions, leadership and conflict examples, and trade-off decisions framed in the STAR method. They probe how deeply you actually understand the work on your resume.
3. Product and domain round. Product-sense and market questions tied to Cohesity's space: the backup and data protection market, how you would explain or position the product, and what you would change about it. They want to see you reason about an enterprise storage and security product, not a consumer app.
4. Cross-functional and team panel. One or more conversations with peers and stakeholders (engineering, sales, other PMs) covering collaboration, execution, and more behavioral and project-detail questions. Cohesity weighs how you work across teams in a fast-moving org.
5. What they're really testing. Three signals carry the most weight: depth of ownership on your past projects (they go deep on the resume), genuine fluency in the enterprise data protection and backup domain, and cross-functional collaboration plus clear trade-off judgment under real constraints.
