Coalition, Inc. 4. Hiring panel / virtual onsite (1 to 2 days, candidate-flexible). A series of interviews with product, design, engineering, and business leaders plus potential teammates and cross-functional partners. This is the core of the loop: product sense, product design, strategy, and behavioral rounds, often grounded in Coalition's insurance and cybersecurity context.
5. Director / final and offer. A final leadership conversation, then references and offer. Candidates report the full process averaging around 25 days.
6. What they're really testing. Three signals carry the most weight: product sense under ambiguity (think abstractly about a hard, unfamiliar problem and give a structured answer), customer empathy (you actually understand the broker, underwriter, or insured you build for), and collaborative behavior (handling conflict and aligning many stakeholders, since the work sits across insurance, security, and software).
