Arcesium PM interview guide

Arcesium's PM loop is long and domain-heavy: a HackerRank/online test up front, then five to six interview rounds spread over roughly three to four months, where two interviewers probe finance-domain knowledge (hedge funds, post-trade, portfolio accounting) and the rest mix CV-driven behavioral questions with product and Scrum questions. The one thing that defines it: they screen hard for whether you actually understand their post-trade hedge-fund domain, not just generic PM skill.

The interview process

1. Online / HackerRank test. An upfront online assessment (reported on HackerRank/HackerEarth) before the live rounds. It is the gate that filters candidates into the interview loop; some PM candidates report it as aptitude and logical reasoning rather than heavy coding.
2. Domain rounds (2 interviewers). Two of the interviewers focus on high-level domain knowledge: hedge funds, mutual funds, and how Arcesium's post-trade / middle-office / portfolio-accounting world works. They are checking whether you can speak the language of asset managers and hedge funds, not just product theory.
3. Product and Scrum rounds. Live rounds covering product management questions and Scrum / agile delivery. Candidates report case studies and strategic discussions in the later rounds. Format is conversational; they want to see how you think about product, prioritization, and execution.
4. Behavioral / CV rounds. Every interviewer also digs into your resume and asks behavioral questions tied to your past projects. Expect deep follow-ups on specific things you shipped and decisions you made.
5. Final rounds (5 to 6 total). Candidates report completing three technical/product rounds and then being told two or more remain, with some going through up to six rounds before salary discussion. The loop is long (around 120 days average to hire) and communication can be inconsistent.
