The interview process

1. Recruiter screen (30 min, phone or video). The recruiter checks background, compensation expectations, and motivation. 2. Hiring manager screen (45-60 min, phone or video). Focused on basic behavioral questions and culture-fit against Apple's values. 3. Phone or video interviews with team members (30-60 min each, 1 to 2 rounds). PM-specific questions on product strategy, design, and analysis tied to the team's product area. 5. Onsite loop (4 to 10 interviews in one day, in-person or virtual; includes a lunch interview). A senior manager or director session is often placed at the end.
6. Final senior or director conversation (30 min, post-loop, not universal). After a positive onsite, some candidates are invited to meet a director or skip-level manager. 7. What they're really testing. Three signals dominate: (1) product craft and user obsession, meaning your ability to reason about quality and experience at Apple's standard rather than just growth metrics; (2) cross-functional influence without authority, specifically how you drive decisions across design, engineering, and marketing; and (3) depth of ownership, meaning end-to-end accountability from concept through launch, not surface-level feature work.
