AIG PM interview guide

AIG runs a long, behavioral-heavy PM loop: a recruiter screen, a hiring manager round, several one-on-one team interviews, and a final case presentation, often closing with the division head, and it can stretch from a few weeks to about three months. The defining feature is the take-home style case where you design a product roadmap to solve a real problem the team is facing, judged alongside heavy probing of your recent hands-on work.

The interview process

1. Recruiter / HR screen (30 to 45 min). An internal recruiter reaches out after you apply and runs a phone screen on your background, motivation, and fit. For some teams this includes an online or HireVue assessment with cognitive and problem-solving questions before you advance.
2. Hiring manager interview (45 to 60 min). A conversation with the hiring manager that goes deep on recent work and the domain. The manager probes market and technical knowledge, while later team members lean more on culture and behavioral fit.
3. Team interviews (multiple rounds, often 4+). A series of one-on-one interviews with team members, frequently four or more rounds and sometimes a super-day of back-to-back sessions. Questions are mostly behavioral and focused on your recent experiences and how you operate on a team.
4. Final case presentation. A broad take-home or live case: for the Investments AI PM loop, candidates were asked to design a product roadmap that solves real problems the team was facing. You present your thinking and field questions on prioritization and tradeoffs.
5. Final round with division head. A closing interview with the head of the division to confirm fit and seniority. The full loop can run from a few weeks up to about three months end to end.
6. What they're really testing. Three signals carry the most weight: behavioral depth on recent, real work (clear stories about projects, conflict, and integrity); domain fluency in insurance and AI (how the business makes money, how models are built and trusted); and structured product judgment, shown in the roadmap case where you turn a messy team problem into a prioritized plan.
