The interview process

1. Recruiter / Talent Acquisition screen (virtual, ~30 min). A Talent Acquisition recruiter reaches out by email and runs a virtual conversation about your experience and education. They confirm role fit and check how clearly you communicate before moving you forward.
2. Hiring manager / experience round (virtual). A deeper conversation that walks through the projects on your resume and how you approach problem solving. Expect to defend real decisions you made and explain trade-offs in plain terms.
3. Skills exercise / assignment. Many candidates report a skills-based exercise relevant to the role, sometimes a take-home assignment or task done during the interview. For PM and product roles this maps to a product or case-style exercise grounded in lending, mortgage, or integrations work.
4. Behavioral round. A round of teamwork and competency questions covering conflict, ownership, and learning from failure. They want to see how you take responsibility and work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and go-to-market.
5. What they're really testing. Three signals dominate: (1) practical depth on the actual work you have shipped, probed through your resume and projects; (2) clear communication and structured problem solving under a skills exercise; (3) domain fit and ownership in their lending, banking, and integrations world, partnering well across functions.
