Lattice PM interview guide

Lattice runs a fairly standard PM loop that takes about 3 to 4 weeks (candidates report roughly 18 to 21 days): a recruiter screen, a hiring manager call with the group PM, then a virtual onsite split into separate Engineering, Design, Product, and Culture/Values rounds. The defining trait is how behavioral and values-heavy it is: most rounds are "tell me about a time" stories, and the Culture round probes each of Lattice's company values directly.

The interview process

1. Recruiter screen (30 min). Phone call with a recruiter to confirm fit on background, motivation for Lattice, and logistics like comp and timeline. Mostly a filter for communication and basic alignment, not a deep PM evaluation.
2. Hiring manager screen (group PM). A call with the group product manager who owns the role, covering your PM experience and a few behavioral prompts. They are checking whether your scope and product judgment match the team and whether to move you to the onsite.
3. Virtual onsite: Engineering round. A working session with an engineer focused on how you collaborate cross-functionally and reason about execution and trade-offs. Expect behavioral questions about working with eng teams plus some product and technical reasoning.
4. Virtual onsite: Design round. An interview with a designer centered on product sense and how you partner with design. Reported prompts include handling user pushback on a design element and walking through how you balance user feedback against a decision the team has already made.
5. Virtual onsite: Product round. The core PM round: product sense, metrics, and lifecycle thinking. Candidates report metrics and market-sizing style prompts (for example, what metrics a company entering ride sharing should watch) plus questions on a product's lifecycle phases.
6. Virtual onsite: Culture and Values round. A structured behavioral interview built around Lattice's company values, with one story prompt per value (for example, a time you made a difficult decision). This round is heavily weighted; values alignment can make or break the loop.
7. What they're really testing. Three signals dominate: cross-functional collaboration (can you work with eng and design and bring people along), behavioral depth via clean STAR stories on conflict, ambiguity, and competing priorities, and values fit, since the dedicated Culture round maps each company value to a story.
